For BeginnersSelf-Development
These provide theoretical and experiential training in the underlying concepts, basic hand positions, and giving and receiving 8 sessions per course along with group sharing. Most find this a powerful experience. After these courses most people are able to use some of the techniques learned, to help friends and family with simple problems. They also learn to use the techniques on themselves. Healthcare professionals may use the techniques adjunctively with their main therapy to provide some additional assistance to their clients. Intermediate Part Continuing Development The second step is attendance at a Consolidation and Development Module. This is also a very practical method of learning. Around 35 hours in length. This involves practical work ensuring that the participants are confident of their hand positions, and the basic theory. Some new techniques will be taught. At the end of this course participants should be ready to practice without following charts and should be able to conduct basic Kairos sessions with some degree of confidence for family and friends. Internship training is required before a person may take paying clients for Kairos Therapy. |
Professional DevelopmentThis last part of the training covers the range of skills that you will need to develop for your work with Kairos clients. It will include history taking, interviewing clients, working safely, interpretation of the Code of Conduct, how to assist clients to release their emotions, how to find clients, interactions between yourself and your clients and much more. There will be substantial experiential and table work elements and the development of skills to enable you to work intensively with your clients. This is around 56 hours in length.
